Sparkling

BRUT RESERVE

Santa Carolina offers an assorted range of sparkling wines from the Casablanca and Central Valleys, ideal to celebrate any occasion. Each variety is a perfect blend of elegance and quality. Santa Carolina’s bottles of Brut Reserve, Brut, Rosé, and Demi Sec are a scintillating burst of freshness and balance.
– Variety: 100% Chardonnay
– Appellation: Valle de Casablanca
TASTING NOTE
– Color: Bright golden yellow color.
– Aroma: Overtones of fresh citrus, green apples, baked bread, and yeast.
– Palate: Dry and full bodied, with a creamy texture, well-defined bubbles, and a citrus, nutty finish.

Rosé

– Variety: 70% Cabernet Sauvignon; 30% Syrah
– Appellation: Valle Central

Reserva de Familia

En 1875, Don Luis Pereira made his dream of producing fine grapevine varieties in the Maipo Valley come true. His best harvests were set aside to produce wines for his Reserva de Familia (Family Reserve).
This Santa Carolina classic was the first Chilean wine to obtain recognition abroad: a gold medal at the 1889 Exposition Universelle in Paris.
This range currently offers wines from Chile’s different valleys and bears a tradition of over 135 years of quality. Reserva de Familia wines are concentrated and complex, with well-defined structures and classic typicities.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

– Variety: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
– Appellation: Maipo Valley
TASTING NOTE

– Color: Dark cherry.
– Aroma: Classic notes of black currant, fig, cedar, bitter chocolate and some leather notes.
– Palate: Complex wine with great fruit concentration and fine grained tannins structure. In the palate you can feel different layers that begins with red fruits and ends with hints of bitter chocolate.
– Aging Potential: Between 8 and 10 years.
– Pairing: Beef with sautéed onions, roasted lamb shanks.

Gran Reserva

Located at the heart of the city of Santiago and declared National Monument in 1973, our underground cellar is home to the French oak barrels that host Santa Carolina’s Gran Reserva wines during their aging period. Made of bricks mortared together with a mixture of lime and egg whites, the enigmatic old walls create the perfect conditions for each variety to reach its maxi-mum potential. Our Gran Reserva wines carry with them the tradition of a live legacy that spans over 137 years of history.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

– Aroma: Plums, cherry and cassis with hints of after eight.
– Palate: Full-bodied, balanced medium structure with fine grain elegant tannins. Complex and persistent flavor.

– Pairing: Ideal match for red meats with spicy sauces and mature cheeses.

Chardonnay 2011

– Aroma: Notes of caramel, honey, orange peel and orange blossom with hints of white fruits.
– Palate: Long and fresh with good acidity and lingering finish.

Estrellas

Santa Carolina presents “Estrellas”, its renewed line of young wines of recognizable varietal personality and consistent quality. The wines are produced in the Rapel Valley, one of the best terroirs of Chile’s central zone, where the wide array of microclimates allows for the cultivation of many different varieties.
